Those with packed wet scrubbers

Hello everyone and I hope yall doing well. I just had a quick questing about packing material for your wet scrubber. I was thinking about using breathable polypropylene honeycomb sheets. Cut them up or maybe stack them facing up. So my sprinkler system can go through the material better. It's gonna be made out of 2 hdpe trash cans connected ( little redneck ingenuity). I've been reading and it seems the packed is for gas and fumes. I was gonna order my packed material from made in China but thought this might work so I figured I'd ask anyone who has a wet scrubber for their opinion
